  • Free listing on Retainoo marketplace and 0% commissions or booking fees – When you sign-up, you can choose to list your business on Retainoo marketplace where you can attract new clients and get new online bookings free of commissions or fees.

Optional paid features include:

  • SMS based notifications & marketing – With fixed fee, Retainoo gives you a handsome number of SMS units to consume each month. SMS units can be used for notifications as well as blast marketing messages. Can my staff access customer contact information?

No, the system is designed to protect your customer contact information from your staff. Your staff can only access minimum information required to perform their day to day duties such as search for a customer profile (without access to contact information), create appointments and customer events.

As business owner/admin, can I restrict level of access for my staff?

Yes, you can assign a role to your staff members. Based on their role (manager or staff), they will have limited access to the information available. Only business admin user will have access to all features and information.

What is a customer appointment?

With Retainoo, your staff and your customers can create a new customer appointment, with a specific stylist and for a specific service, via their version of Retainoo app. The robust online appointment system consists of notification messages, reminders and warnings for no-shows using customer’s location based services. No need to spend that previous time on phone anymore to book those appointments. Your customers and your staff both can save valuable time.

What are business reports and who can view them?

Business reports are automated reports generated for you to manage your business, staff and customers in the most effective way. The reports can help you make critical business decisions. Some of the reports include Staff performance report, Revenue report, customer appointments, customer loyalty program reports etc.

Only business admin has access to business portal from where business critical reports on staff and customers can be accessed.

How does staff rating system work?

A customer event can be created once a customer has been served by your staff, either by converting an appointment into an event or directly via the ‘add event’ feature in your staff app. The customer event shall automatically be made visible in customer app from where they can give a rating to the staff member who served them, as well as add comments so that a better customer experience can be tailored for them based on their service feedback. This is one of the most powerful features of our platform as it lets you review customer feedback and make adjustments to the service to ensure your customers receive the level of service the desire. You can also access various reports on staff rating to make effective decision making regarding your service and staff members.

What is real-time messaging feature?

Your staff can send real-time messages to customers via the chat feature. This is an effective and efficient way to contact a customer to check if you they are coming on time for their appointment, or if they are late etc.

The messages shall be sent from the Salon profile and conversations shall be visible to all staff. Individual staff profiles cannot send or receive messages from customers.

How do I get started on Retainoo?

Setting up your business to use free software and list your business on Retainoo marketplace is easy and only takes a few minutes, Follow the three simple steps and you are ready to offer the best experience to your customers & attract new customers for free.

Step1: Subscribe

Step 2: Add your business details

Upon registration, you will be asked to provide some basic information that will enable you to experience the free business management solution and list your business on Retainoo marketplace so you can get new clients for free.

Step 3: Complete your businesses settings

  • Select the features you want to use e.g. Online Appointments, Customer Loyalty Program etc.
  • Add your staff member profiles & your services menu – You can use a bulk upload feature also to save time  using a Microsoft Excel template that is provided for you to update and upload. Once your staff and services details are added to the platform, you are ready to start creating appointments and use point of sales features to create invoices.
  • Add your customers – If you already have a list of customers, you can use our bulk customer upload feature using a Microsoft Excel template that is provided for you toupdate and upload. Once your customers are added to the platform, they will automatically receive an email with instructions on how to download Retainoo app and connect with your  is it. You can now download Retainoo App and login to start using it for managing   your salon and customers.

Step 4: Download Retainoo App

(Android and IOS)

You will be required to download Retainoo app  on Android  or IOS app store. Just search for the word ‘Retainoo’.

You will need to login with your login details which you setup during registration.

That’s it. You’re ready to go.

You can now manage your salon, staff and customers from the app.

Note: For optimal experience, we recommend using Retainoo on a Samsung tablet (10 inches or more).

What are Configuration Settings?

Upon signing up, you can login to your account using the Retainoo app or going to partner.retainoo.com and clicking ‘Login’. We recommend logging in to your business portal on a laptop on a desktop computer once to complete your setup and once setup is complete, then you can run your day to day business on Retainoo app (tablet, ipad or a smart phone).

You can also complete your setting through the app or through a browser on your phone. Once logged in, you can in your own time, add or edit a set of configuration settings so that your business profile is complete and up to date so you can start receiving online bookings from Retainoo marketplace and other channels. You will need to ensure following settings are complete.

  • Your business profile (e.g. Business name, address, contact details etc.)
  • Select the features you want to use e.g. Online Appointments, Customer Loyalty Program etc.
  • Select the color scheme of your business and customer apps
  • Add your staff member profiles – You can use a bulk upload feature also to save time using a Microsoft Excel template that is provided for you to update and upload. Once your staff and services are added, you are ready to use appointments, receive online appointments and start generating invoices.
  • Add your customers – If you already have a list of customers, you can use our bulk customer upload feature using a Microsoft Excel template that is provided for you toupdate and upload. Once your customers are added to the platform, they will automatically receive an email with instructions on how to download Retainoo app and connect with your business That is it. You can now download Retainoo App and login to start using it for managing your salon and customers.

Lastly, do not forget to download your client registration QR code that you can place at reception. Through QR code, your new customers can register with you so its easier to check them out as their details will already be in your database. It will also improve the data accuracy of your client records.

Can I get help to complete Configuration Settings?

We are here to help. If you need help to subscribe to our platform or to complete your configuration settings, please write to us on support@retainoo.com and one of our friendly support staff shall schedule an onsite or offsite appointment with you to help you complete your configuration settings. Our turnaround time for this request is within 24 hours. There are no extra fees for this service.

What is my Retainoo ‘Business Portal’?

Your Retainoo Business Portal is your access to Retainoo platform specifically designed for your business. You can access your business portal by logging in to your account via login feature on Retainoo’s partner website www.partner.retainoo.com. You will have access to following features via your business portal.

  • Your account details such as business details, notifications and suggestions.
  • Update your platform settings such as app color schemes, enabling or disabling features such as online appointments, customer loyalty program; and update your business details such business name, address and contact details, social media links, generating client registration QR codes etc.
  • Access to your reporting dashboard and various business reports, such as staff reports, customer reports, loyalty program reports etc.
  • Create Sales Promotions to attract customers back to your business using in-built analytics to help you create effective sales promotions and target customers

Please note that you can access all these features through Retainoo android and IOS app as well that you can run on a tablet, ipad or a smart phone.

What is Retainoo App?

Your Retainoo app is your personalized app on Retainoo platform that has been automatically created based on your app preferences and applicable features as per your personal business details and setup. Retainoo app presents the user with certain views based on their login details and level of access, as configured by the business admin such as:

  • Staff admin app (for business owner) – This view is for business admin with all features required to manage salon, staff and customers.
  • Staff app (for managers) – This view is for business manager with limited view to manage salon and customers
  • Staff app (for staff members) – This view for staff members to manage customers with limited access views
  • Customer app – This app is for your business customers with access to Retainoo features as well as your business specific offerings
How do my customers download the app?

Once you register your customer on the Retainoo platform, using their name and email address, your customer will automatically get an email with the instructions on downloading and using Retainoo app.

If not already registered by you, you can also ask your customers to download Retainoo app from the android or IOS app store, then link to your salon by searching for your salon in the app. The app will automatically link them to your salon and will display all the relevant content and features. Yes, all of this is done magically by our state-of-the-art digital platform’s capability.

Can my staff members download and use the app on their personal device?

Yes, that is our core value proposition. Once you have completed your platform settings and have added your staff members with appropriate role as ‘manager’ or ‘staff’, they will automatically get an email with the instructions on downloading and using Retainoo app.

Your staff members can only login to the app once they have been registered by your business admin as a staff member with a valid email address as their login id.

Can I register my staff for multiple businesses?

Yes. However, your staff will need a separate email id to be used as a separate login id if they are to be registered for more than one salon. Their details such as rosters, appointments and personal details shall not be consolidated and you will have to manage their utilisation accordingly.

Will I be be charged for anything?

Retainoo basic version is totally free and you will not be charged for anything, ever. For optional paid features, you can subscribe to Retainoo Premium plan that is charged per staff member per month. Plus, you can buy RetainooGrow (Listings & Reviews Management Solution) as a add-on at a special price. For any paid features, you will need to provide your credit card details and you will be charged on a monthly basis. You can always cancel anytime and you will not be charged again.

Are there any hidden fees?

No, there are no hidden fees. You don’t pay for Retainoo’s free version that is loaded with features to attract and retain clients, manage your business and staff. Any optional paid features are clearly mentioned in the pricing section of the premium features and you can choose to subscribe or cancel anytime.

Do I have to pay for in-app notifications?

No, you don’t have to pay for any notifications messages. All in-app notification messages included appointment messages and confirmations are included in your monthly subscription fee. That is how we let you save on those text messages sent to your customers. In-app notifications are far more effective both from usability and cost effectiveness perspective. After all, we have built a digital capability for your business that is unmatched.

For any SMS units (to engage with clients who may not download the app and connect with your business), If you subscribe to Retainoo Premium plan, you will get certain free SMS units per month that can be used for client notifications and marketing (Feature is not available in all countries). You can also buy additional SMS units at amazingly low rates through Retainoo platform.

Where do I find my account and payment details?

You can access to account details including your subscription details, payment details and many other features via your Retainoo account. You can sign in using Retainoo app (IOS / Android) or through your business portal from the login option on the Retainoo partner website www.partner.retainoo.com. Please click on the buddy icon on the right corner of your business portal to access this information.

Absolutely yes! You can change your subscription package plan via your business portal by accessing your subscription details. Your new package will be effective immediately however, your billing shall only be updated on your next billing cycle. You may be charged the difference in the next billing cycle, if applicable.

Please note that once you upgrade or downgrade your package plan, associated features shall be added or removed based on your new package plan from your Retainoo Business portal and Retainoo Apps.

For example, if you downgrade your package plan from PREMIUM to FREE, your will lose additional features that are included in the PREMIUM plan. Please carefully see the features that are included in the FREE and PREMIUM plans to understand the features you may or may not have access to once you downgrade or upgrade your package plan.

Is there any limit on number of staff or customers?

Absolutely Not! We have designed our platform in a way that you can on-board as many staff members and customers as you like. There are no constraints or extra fees. We want to help you serve your staff and customers using the state-of-the-art platform and app features without worrying about costs. Our modest monthly plans are inclusive of unlimited number of users.

Can I subscribe to optional paid features or cancel them if I have already bought them?
Do I have access to user guides and training material?

Yes, Retainoo provides user guides for all our business customers to understand and use the functionality that has been designed to help your business offer superior customer experience to your valued customers. You can access the user guides from Retainoo website link www.retainoo.com/help_centre.

What customer support is available to me?

Retainoo subscription includes customer support with a 24 hours turnaround time. If you have a query or an issue to report, please send an email to support@retainoo.com and list your query and your Subscription ID. One of our friendly support staff shall contact you within 24 hours to resolve your query.

What customer support is available to my customers?

Your customers have the ‘support’ option available in their app. They can contact us by emailing us at support@retainoo.com and they will be entertained within 24 hours timeframe.

Is there a 24/7 support feature available via call?

Retainoo is launching a 24/7 support function soon where businesses and their customers can contact us via 24/7 call feature. Once the service is launched, we will notify all our customers. We thank you for your patience.

Is my card data secured?

By law, we are required to protect your data. Your data is secure with us as we employ industry standard tools to ensure your data is secure.

Can I export my data?

Retainoo has a built in data export feature that enables you to export some of the reports into Excel worksheets, where applicable. If you require any other data to be exported, you can write to us at support@retainoo.com. There will be a standard charge of $250 which will need to be paid in advance. Retainoo shall provide you the required data within 7 days of successfully receiving the payment.

Can I import old data?

Yes, you can import your old data (clients and sales etc.). Please contact our friendly support team on support@retainoo.com if you need to import old data.

What happens to my data if I cancel my subscription?

Retainoo has powerful reporting that lets you certain reports to be exported into an EXCEL or a PDF document. If you need further support to export any data, you can request us by writing to support@retainoo.com. Your data is your intellectual property and we shall provide you with your data if required.

Do we store your Credit Card details?

We do not store your credit card details. Your credit card details are stored by our Payment Integration Platform provider to process monthly subscription payments. They ensure your credit card details are secure with them using the state-of-the-art security features as used by banks and tier 1 organisation.
